Dani Molyneux is an established artist and designer based in Manchester and the founder of type-twisting creative studio, Dotto. Bringing change through words, Dani's focus is about community, collaboration and "taking up space". She loves to present powerful messages through playful type.
For Creative Boom, Dani has created an exclusive graphic artwork titled Eyes Will Roll. " It's for those moments that require it. A small act of defiance. Inspired by a pandemic, an ongoing stream of challenging news and events, and a nudge back against a pressure to remain positive at all times," says Dani. "I have perfected the glorious eye roll with a lifetime of practice."
Dani urges us to look at her bespoke artwork and imagine the tune of Heads Will Roll by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs for full effect.
During her successful career, Dani has worked for leading creative agencies in London, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester. Clients included corporates and mega giants, independents and arts organisations. Her experience is extensive, as she's art directed international fashion shoots and created award-winning campaigns.
After working everyone else's way, Dani wanted to find her own path. She launched Dotto in 2017 to "make meaningful work with good people". She adds: "I want to collaborate with people who have something to say, and want to say it loud."
In addition to her creative practice, she co-launched non-profit, Ladies, Wine & Design Manchester with Danielle Gaboury and Tali Cahani, championing talent and creating networks and support. She has since co-founded a new organisation, The How with Penny Lee and Tali Cahani. Launched in 2021 and designed as a response to the pandemic, it's for creatives in business wanting to work better together.
